About The Role
Drake Business Logistics is a leading provider of managed services in Australia, enabling our clients to focus on what they do best.
We’re looking for Casual Facilities Engineer based in each state (i.e., Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane) to assist our client in providing engineering support when permanent engineers are on leave or additional coverage is required.
As a member of the casual team, your assignments may range from a single day to several weeks, depending on business needs. You’ll work alongside our client to ensure critical building services continue to operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting routine inspections of building plant and equipment;
- Monitoring the condition of critical infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical and cooling systems;
- Coordinating maintenance contractors and service providers;
- Responding to facilities incidents and escalating issues where required;
- Assisting with preventive maintenance activities;
- Completing maintenance reports and service documentation;
- Supporting workplace safety and compliance requirements; and,
- Providing general facilities engineering support across corporate office environments.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Attributes
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience in commercial facilities, building services or critical environments;
- A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Experience working with contractors and service providers; and,
- A current driver’s licence and flexibility to travel to client sites.
